Giandomenico Curi

Giandomenico Curi (* 1946 in Rome ) is an Italian author and film director .

Life

Curi graduated in literary studies and then attended the "Accademia d'Arte Drammatica Dilvio D'Amico ". He was particularly interested in light music; he worked for radio, television programs and as a critic. As a director he made video clips and made his debut in 1987 with Ciao mà… 1987 in the cinema, a musical film with Vasco Rossi in the lead role.

In his second film, Lambada , made in 1989, popular music is also the focus. In the same year he shot the comic book adaptation Valentina for television with Gianfranco Giagni .

Curi publishes regularly on music and film topics, including a biography of Dalida .

Curi teaches film studies in Rome.
