Gianfabio Bosco (often just as Gian , also Gian Fabio Bosco ; born July 30, 1936 in Florence , † February 14, 2010 in Lavagna ) was an Italian comedian and actor .

Life

Shortly after his birth, he moved to Genoa with his mother Anna Caroli . At the age of 8, Bosco began working primarily with imitations in the children's theater directed by “Rossaldo” ( Aldo Rosso ). At the age of 17 he was signed by the dialect company Gilberto Govis and two years later by Gino Bramieri's ensemble, which specializes in musical pieces . After the accidental acquaintance with Riccardo Miniggio in Turin , the successful comedian duo "Ric e Gian" (initially "Jerry e Fabio") emerged, which also appeared for two years at Crazy Horse de Paris . They later signed with Beniamino Maggio , under whose direction Gian was successful with his Jerry Lewis imitation. 1976/1977 they appeared as the main characters in Neil Simons A Strange Couple and celebrated a great success with the public; In 1983 the television show "Ric e Gian Follies" followed. In the 1990s they appeared at the theater together with Lino Banfi .

In the cinema, the duo was rarely seen and (with one very much of Franco & Ciccio reminiscent spaghetti western spoof) mostly in comic supporting roles with guest star status; television offered them the platform for a moderately successful television series with one hundred episodes and in 1988/1989 the mini-series I cinque del V ° piano . In the new millennium, too, screen appearances have become more frequent. In addition, Bosco was for a short time director of his own station "San Remo Tv".

Bosco was married to Carla Russo in his second marriage (which was divorced from Maria Arzano).
