Gianni Proia
Gianni Proia (* 1921 in Rome ) is an Italian documentary film director.
The son of the film producer Alfredo Proia , who first graduated from law school, worked in the Mondo genre from the 1960s after working on a screenplay . After the production of Luigi Vanzi's nightclub film Mondo di notte , he shot the two successors himself. With Realtà romanzesca , he left the Mondo area in 1967 and, with his collection of almost unbelievable fates and living conditions, remained in the area of the sensational documentary. His last two films, a return to the tried and tested, were no longer a great success.
