Giants' Graves (Arran)
The Giants' Graves of Glenashdale are in a small clearing on a wooded hill above Whiting Bay, on the path to the falls, on the Isle of Arran in North Ayrshire , Scotland .
North chamber
The north-south oriented gallery with two chambers belongs to a megalithic complex of the Clyde Tomb type and is in a relatively poor condition. The cairn is over 30 meters long. Remains of another chamber are visible at the rear end. The quite large forecourt, whose exedra is barely recognizable, is over 13 meters wide and six meters deep. At the end of the forecourt, the "horns" are marked with menhirs . The gallery is over six meters long and about 1.8 m wide.
Southern chamber
The southern chamber is less than three meters long and only six larger panels of the gallery have survived.
During excavations, flint knives , broken ceramics, arrowheads and burned bone fragments were found in the chamber .
The Glenashdale Falls are nearby .
