Gibraltar Squadron
The Gibraltar Squadron is a unit of the British Royal Navy that acts as Gibraltar's coast guard . She is part of the British Forces Gibraltar and has two 16-meter patrol boats , HMS Scimitar and the sister ship HMS Saber . She also owns three Pacific 24 rigid inflatable boats . The Coast Guard has a crew of 22 men.
The Gibraltar Squadron played an important role in the fishing dispute in Gibraltar and was involved in skirmishes with SEMAR (Grupo Servicio Marítimo) boats of the Spanish Guardia Civil .
