Gienger somersault

The Gienger somersault is a flight element on the horizontal bar or a back somersault with half a longitudinal axis rotation (LAD) in front of the bar. It is classified in the CdP (Code de Pointage) as a C part (No. 269 or) with a D value of 0.3 points. It was named after the German gymnast and Olympic medalist Eberhard Gienger . In women's gymnastics, the Gienger Salto is performed on the uneven bars .
