Dickson Marwa

Dickson Marwa ( Dickson Marwa Mkami ; born March 9, 1982 in Tarime , Mara region ) is a Tanzanian long-distance runner .

Life

In 2003 and 2005 he won the Gold Coast Marathon . In 2006 he was eighth over 5000 m and sixth over 10,000 m at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne , third at the Route du Vin and twelfth at the World Road Running Championships in Debrecen . The following year he came at the World Athletics Championships in Osaka over 10,000 m in 16th place and was eighth at the World Road Running Championships in Udine .

In 2008, he finished third in the RAK half marathon , and at the Olympic Games in Beijing , he finished 14th over 10,000 m.

In 2009 he came in 16th place at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin over 10,000 m and won the Prague Grand Prix .

Dickson Marwa is 1.78 m tall and weighs 58 kg. Until 2007 he was supervised by Afro-Sport Promotion , then by Demadonna Athletics.
