It is organized by the organizers of the Prague Marathon and consists of two road races: a race for men over 10 km (Metro Men's Race) and a race for women over 5 km (adidas Women's Race). A fun run has been integrated into both races since 2003 .

history

The first edition took place in 1996 as Golden Ten on the day before the Prague Marathon. Both men and women started over 10 km. The following year the event was moved to autumn and restricted to the male running elite. In 1999 it was expanded to include a 5 km women's run. Since 2013 women have also run 10 km. In 2017, the Kenyan Joyciline Jepkosgei set a new world record over this distance with her winning time of 29:43 minutes.

In 2009 the men's race was awarded the Road Race Silver Label by the IAAF .

route

The start and finish of both routes is on the Old Town Square . Both run partly through the old town , partly along the Vltava .
