Caroline Chepkoech Kipkirui (born May 26, 1994 in Kericho ) is a Kenyan medium and long-distance runner who competes in disciplines from 800 m to marathons and cross-country runs . She runs for the international athletics club Altay Athletics from Kazakhstan . She is the younger sister of cross-country skier Mercy Cherono Koech (* 1991).

successes

In 2011 Chepkoech Kipkirui became the African junior cross-country champion. Over 5000 m she was African junior champion in the same year and third over 3000 m at the Junior World Championships in Lille, France .

In Palo Alto , Chepkoech Kipkirui ran the 10,000 m on May 1st, 2016 in a time of 31: 16.38 min.

On February 9, 2018, she ran the half marathon in Ras al- Khaimah in a time of 1:05:07 h.

In January 2019 she won the Houston Half Marathon in 1:05:07 h in a personal best . A year later, on January 19, 2020, she was third in the Houston Half Marathon in a time of 1:08:13 h, behind the Japanese Hitomi Niiya (1:06:36 h) and Brillian Jepkorir Kipkoech (1:08:08 h) .
