Angelina Kanana
Angelina Kanana (born December 16, 1965 ) is a former Kenyan long-distance runner who was particularly successful in road runs in Germany in the 1990s .
She won the Hamburg Marathon in 1994 , as well as in 1995 in her personal best of 2:27:24. In the same year she only had to admit defeat to Uta Pippig in the Berlin Marathon .
In 1997 she won the premiere of the Cologne Marathon . People there remember her not only because of her track record of 2:27:27 h, but also because of her comment on the Ford Mondeo , which was presented to her as a prize: “What should I do with a car? Better give me a tractor. "
The following year she celebrated her last major success with her victory at the Frankfurt Marathon .
