The Valencia Half Marathon (official name: Medio Maratón de Valencia Trinidad Alfonso ) is a half marathon in Valencia , Spain , which has been held annually in autumn since 1991. From 1991 to 2005 this race was organized as a 20-kilometer road race , and from 2006 as a half marathon. Participation in the run is possible for both elite and recreational runners . In 2013, more than 10,000 runners took part.

It is organized by the organizer SD Correcaminos y el Ayuntamiento de Valencia , who also plans the Valencia Marathon , and is the most important road race over this distance in Spain . The IAAF classifies the Valencia half marathon in the series of around 50 gold label races ( IAAF Gold Label Road Race ). At the 2017 event, the Kenyan Joyciline Jepkosgei set a new world record with her winning time of 1:04:51 hours.

In 2018, the Kenyan Abraham Kiptum was able to improve the previous world record of Zersenay Tadese (58:23 minutes) by five seconds with his winning time of 58:18 minutes . However, Kiptum's time was canceled in 2019 as part of a four-year doping ban.

The run, which runs through the old town of Valencia, starts on Avenida del Port and ends on Calle Marina Real Juan Carlos I at the port.
