The Beijing Marathon (English name Beijing International Marathon; Chinese  北京 国际 马拉松 赛 , Pinyin Běijīng Guójì Mǎlāsōngsài ; also ANA Beijing International Marathon after the main sponsor ANA ) is a marathon that has been taking place in Beijing since 1981 (first in September and since 1984 in October). It is organized by the Chinese Athletics Association . The 2012 event was initially omitted without any explanation because of the Chinese Communist Party convention taking place in Beijing at the beginning of November 2012 and was later moved to November 25th. The entry fee for the marathon is 120 RMB yuan (about 20 US dollars) for the Chinese and 80 US dollars for foreigners.
