Liu Min

Liu Min ( Chinese  刘敏 , Pinyin Liú Mǐn ; born November 29, 1983 ) is a Chinese long-distance and marathon runner .

She caused a stir in 2001 when she won the Beijing Marathon in her first marathon and her first international race with the record of 2:23:37, which was one of the 100 best running times in the women's marathon at the time. In November 2001, she achieved her best performance in Guangzhou of 15: 24.97 over 5000 m and 31: 53.78 over 10000 meters. In March 2002 she achieved a personal best over 3000 m in Shanghai with 9: 04.02. In 2003, Liu finished 13th in the Osaka Women's Marathon in 2:39:18. and in 2007 fourth in the Hong Kong Marathon in 2:40:57.
