Ute Fischer

Ute Fischer (* 5. May 1943 in Merseburg ) is a German politician of the SPD and from 1994 to in 2006 (2nd, 3rd and 4th Term) member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt . She has also been a member of the Saalekreis district council since 2014.

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1961, she began training as an engineer for chemical apparatus engineering and successfully completed her studies in 1966. From 1966 to 1972 she worked as an engineer in the Leuna works . She then worked as a teacher in the dormitory for trainees until 1990.

Ute Fischer is married and has two children.

Political party

In 1990 she joined the SPD. Between 1990 and 2002 she was chairwoman of the Working Group of Social Democratic Women (ARSP) in Saxony-Anhalt . Ute Fischer was a member of the SPD state executive from 1999 to 2000.

From 1990 to 1994 she was a member of the district council of the Merseburg district . Afterwards she was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt from the second electoral term and did not run again for the state elections in 2006. Fischer represented the constituency Merseburg and was last on the national list of SPD selected. She was a member of the Committee on Equality, Family, Children, Youth and Sport. She has also been a member of the Saalekreis district council since 2014 (the last electoral term).
