Tadese Tola

Tadese Tola Woldegeberel (born October 31, 1987 in Addis Ababa ) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner .

In 2006 he was fifth at the African Athletics Championships in Bambous over 10,000 m and seventh at the World Road Running Championships in Debrecen . The following year he was seventh at the World Cross Country Championships in Mombasa and came 13th at the World Athletics Championships in Osaka over 10,000 m. In 2008 he finished fifth in the Delhi Half Marathon and won the San Silvestre Vallecana .

In 2009, on his debut over this distance, he finished tenth in the Chicago Marathon in 2:15:48 hours . The following year he finished second in the RAK half marathon . He then won the Paris Marathon , increasing his personal record by over nine minutes to 2:06:41 h. In autumn he won the Portugal half marathon and came second in the Frankfurt marathon . With 2:05:10 h at the Dubai Marathon 2012 he qualified for the Olympic Games in London.
