Wei Yanan

Wei Yanan ( Chinese  魏亞楠  /  魏亚楠 , Pinyin Wèi Yànán ; born December 6, 1981 ) is a Chinese marathon runner .

At the age of 18, she won the Beijing Marathon in 2000 , in which she came second a year later.

In 2002 she won the Seoul International Marathon . After she was the first to cross the finish line in the Beijing Marathon that same year, she was convicted of doping , disqualified and banned for two years.

In 2005 she was second in the Seoul International Marathon and in 2007 first in her personal best of 2:23:12 h. At the 2007 World Athletics Championships in Osaka , she finished 37th.

In 2008 she was third in the Xiamen Marathon in 2:25:10 h.

Wei Yanan is 1.62 m tall and has a competition weight of 49 kg.
