Ashu Kasim (born October 20, 1984 ) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner .

In 2003 she finished 47th at the World Half Marathon Championships in Vilamoura . In 2006 she came in 17th at the World Road Running Championships in Debrecen and won silver with the Ethiopian team.

In 2007 she was fourth over 10,000 m at the Pan-African Games in Algiers , sixth in the Philadelphia Half Marathon and second in the 15 km run of the Istanbul Marathon , and the following year fifth in the Delhi Half Marathon .

In 2009, after finishing eleventh in the RAK half marathon , she moved to the 42.195 km distance. She was fourth in the Paris Marathon and second in the Istanbul Marathon. In 2010 she was first fifth in the Los Angeles Marathon and third in the Prague Marathon and then set a course record in the Istanbul Marathon.
