Freihofer's Run for Women is a women's run in Albany ( New York ) that has been taking place since 1979. It is one of the most important road races worldwide over the distance of 5 km; At the same time, however, there are also many popular runners taking part. From 1979 to 1991 a 10 km run was also part of the program, until 1988 this was the main run.
Start and finish is on Madison Avenue at the New York State Museum. Most of the route runs through Washington Park.
