The Gifu Seiryū Half Marathon ( Japanese 高橋 尚 子 杯 ぎ ふ 清流 ハ ー フ マ ラ ソ ン , Takahashi Naoko Hai Gifu Seiryū hāfumarason ) is a half marathon that has been taking place in Gifu ( Japan ) since 2011 . It is nicknamed the Naoko Takahashi Cup after the Olympic marathon champion Naoko Takahashi, who was born in this town .
route
The start and finish is in Nagaragawa Stadium , where Gifu FC plays its games. On the first third of the course, a turning point route is run that leads south across the Nagara River into the city center and turns around at the train station. On the way back, turn off at Nagara and follow the river on its right bank for six kilometers upstream. Cross the Chidori Bridge to get to the other bank of the river, which you follow to the starting point of the route. The part of the name seiryū for “clear stream” indicates the route along the river .
