2010 runners in the Brighton Marathon

The Brighton Marathon is a marathon that has been held in Brighton since 2010 . It is organized by the Grounded Events Company , founded by former top athlete Tim Hutchings and Tom Naylor.

route

The start is in Preston Park. After a lap around this park, it goes over Preston Road and London Road into the city center, where the Royal Pavilion and other sights are passed on a loop . After eight kilometers, turn east on a turning point stretch that runs parallel to the coast to Ovingdean. The second half of the course consists of a turning point route that runs west along the coast on King's Road and Basin Road South , supplemented by a loop through Portslade. The destination is on Madeira Drive not far from Brighton Pier.
