Paris half marathon

The Paris Half Marathon ( French Semi-Marathon de Paris ) is a half marathon that has been held annually in Paris since 1993 . Like the Paris Marathon, it is organized by Amaury Sport Organization (ASO) and after this it is the running event with the most participants in France .

The start and finish of the route, which runs through eastern Paris, is in front of Vincennes Castle . Via the Avenue Daumesnil it goes west into the urban area of ​​Paris and after a swing to the north over the Place de la Nation and the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine to the Place de la Bastille . Then follow the Rue de Rivoli to the Boulevard Sébastopol, where the westernmost point of the route is reached. Immediately afterwards you reach the Place de l'Hôtel-de-Ville with the town hall and then the Seine , which you follow upstream to the Boulevard Henri IV, via which you get back to the Place de la Bastille. Follow Avenue Daumesnil to Place Félix Éboué, pass the Boulevard périphérique south of the Porte de Charenton and cross the Bois de Vincennes in the last quarter .

The 28th half-marathon planned for March 1, 2020 had to be canceled due to new infections with the coronavirus and the postponement to a later date of the year was announced.
