The Barcelona Half Marathon ( Catalan Mitja Marató de Barcelona ) is a half marathon that has been held annually in Barcelona since 1991 .

In 2016, the run was awarded a bronze label for the first time by the World Athletics Label Road Races . After silver in the following year, he has had the gold label since 2018 . At the 20th edition in 2010, the number of pre-registrations exceeded 5,000 for the first time; in 2012 it was already 12,500. In 2019 the race was sold out with 19,000 pre-registrations (16,394 finishers), 44% of the registered participants came from abroad. The women's course record has been held by Kenyan Florence Kiplagat since 2015, who once again improved her own world record (1:05:12 h) set at the previous year's event with 1:05:09 h. On the men's side, the Ethiopian Mule Wasihun, who was victorious in 59:44 minutes, undercut the hour mark for the first time in 2018 .

The start and finish of the circuit is the Passeig de Pujades at the Parc de la Ciutadella .
