Vincent Kipruto (born September 13, 1987 ) is a Kenyan marathon runner .

After finishing third in the Reims Marathon 2008 in 2:08:16 h at his premiere over the 42.195 km distance , he caused a surprise at the 2009 Paris Marathon when he won one of the fastest runs of the History prevailed against five other runners who stayed below 2:07. With 2:05:47, Kipruto broke the old course record from 2003 by 46 seconds. In the fall he finished third in the Chicago Marathon .

The following year he was eleventh in the Abu Dhabi half marathon, third in the Rotterdam marathon and fifth in Chicago.

In 2011, after a second place in Rotterdam at the World Athletics Championships in Daegu, he won the silver medal with a time of 2:10:06. The following year he was sixth at Roma - Ostia . He finished 13th in the London Marathon and ninth in the Hengshui Marathon .

In 2013 he finished second in the Egmond Half Marathon and won the Lake Biwa Marathon , the Lille Half Marathon and the Frankfurt Marathon .

On January 2, 2016, he won the Xiamen Marathon with a time of 2:10:18 h.
