The Reims Marathon ( French: Marathon de Reims ) is a marathon in Reims that has been held in October since 1984. In terms of course records, he is the second fastest in France after the Paris Marathon . Together with a half marathon and a 10 km run, it forms the Reims à toutes jambes running event .

route

The marathon starts on Rue Libergier in front of the entrance to Notre Dame Cathedral . On its first third it crosses the Vesle and the A4 Autoroute and leads southeast to the neighboring town of Taissy . From there it goes north back into the urban area and along the Canal de l'Aisne à la Marne back to the center. Then the city center is circled on a turning point route with small variations first in a counter-clockwise direction and then in a clockwise direction and finally the goal of all runs at the Parc des Expositions southeast of the city center is reached.

The half marathon starts on the Canal de l'Aisne à la Marne south of the finish. After a lap to the southeast along the canal, you walk along it towards the center, which you circle clockwise on the same route as the marathon.

The 10 km run begins at the same point as the half marathon, leads directly to the center of the marathon and, after another loop, joins the courses of the other runs.
