Sinaida Semjonowa ( Russian Зинаида Николаевна Семёнова , English transcription Zinaida Semenova / Semyonova ; born March 19, 1962 ) is a Russian marathon runner .

Life

In 1993 she was third in the Russian championship and won the Echternach Marathon . In 1994 and 1996 she won the Valencia Marathon . A victory in the Reims Marathon in 1997 was followed the year after a second place in the Cleveland Marathon and a victory in the Twin Cities Marathon and in 1999 a third place in Cleveland.

In 2000, she finished second in the Houston Marathon and was eleventh in the London Marathon for the first time under 2:30 hours. She finished fifth in the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon , won again at the Twin Cities Marathon, and came 22nd at the World Half Marathon Championships in Veracruz and won bronze with the Russian team.

In 2001 she was fourth in the Country Music Marathon , second in the Grandma's Marathon and set the current course record in the Twin Cities Marathon with 2:26:51 h. The following season she was eighth in London, won the Grandma's Marathon and was tenth in the New York City Marathon . A 13th place in London and a fourth in the Twin Cities Marathon 2003 followed in 2005 victories at the Edinburgh Marathon and the Dublin Marathon .

In 2006 she was eighth in the Hamburg Marathon , in 2008 sixth in the Twin Cities Marathon
