Chantal Dällenbach (born Fontaine ; born October 24, 1962 in Saint Denis on La Réunion ) is a French - Swiss long-distance runner .

Athletic career

With a time of 2:28:27 h, run fourth in the Paris Marathon in 2002 , she held the current national record in the marathon until 2008, when Christelle Daunay improved the mark by three seconds in the Osaka Women's Marathon .
She also won the Jungfrau Marathon in 2002 . In 1996 she took part in the Summer Olympics in Atlanta and finished 15th in the 10,000 meter run in her preliminary run, which she missed the final.

In addition to French, Chantal Dällenbach is also a Swiss citizen .

She was three times French marathon champion (1995, 2000, 2001) and won the Swiss championship over the half marathon distance in 1997 and 2001. In 2002 she became the Swiss marathon champion , and she also won the Swiss championship in the 10,000-meter run five times .
