La Rochelle Marathon

The La Rochelle Marathon ( French Marathon de La Rochelle ) is a marathon in La Rochelle that has been held annually since 1991, usually on the last weekend in November. In terms of participant numbers, it is the third largest marathon in France after the Paris Marathon and the Médoc Marathon .

route

The course consists of two not completely identical laps through downtown La Rochelle. In order to avoid too much crowding at the beginning of the race, there have been two different starting points since 2001. Men under the age of 50 start at Quai Maubec , men over 50 and women start at Quai Louis Prunier . The two groups meet after 3.3 km and then run together to the finish at the Cours des Dames .
