John Kipkorir Komen

John Kipkorir Komen (* 1982 ) is a Kenyan marathon runner .

In 2008 he finished fourth in the Turin Marathon and second in the Reims Marathon . The following year he was ninth in the Paris Marathon and set course records at the Turin Half Marathon and the Venice Marathon .

In 2010 he finished seventh in the Boston Marathon and sixth in the Turin Marathon. The following year he set a course record at the La Rochelle Marathon . In 2012 he finished sixth in the Vienna City Marathon . In 2015, 2016 and 2019 he won the Luxembourg Marathon . In 2019 he also won the Athens Marathon.

Komen played soccer before taking up serious running under the guidance of Italian coach Gabriele Nicola in 2007.
