The Santiago Marathon (Spanish Maratón de Santiago ) is a marathon that has been taking place in Santiago ( Chile ) since 2007 . It is organized jointly by Adidas and the Chilean athletics association FEDACHI. The competition also includes a half marathon and a 10 km run.

route

The start and finish of the marathon is in the Plaza de la Ciudadanía in front of the La Moneda presidential palace . A large lap is run counter-clockwise, which initially runs southeast to Ñuñoa , where the Chilean national stadium is passed. Via La Reina and Las Condes it then goes to Vitacura , where the northernmost point of the route is reached. Via Providencia it then goes back in a south-westerly direction to the starting point of the route.
