Mohamed Ouaadi

Mohamed Ouaadi (born January 1, 1969 in Tiznit ) is a French marathon runner of Moroccan origin.

Through his service in the Foreign Legion , he became a French citizen . In 1998 he became national champion in the half marathon , finished 26th in the half marathon world championships in Uster in 1:02:29 h and won the Reims marathon in 2:09:54 h. The following year he came in 23rd place in the marathon of the World Athletics Championships in Seville and came second in the Fukuoka marathon in 2:07:55 h.

In 2000 he won the Paris Marathon in 2:08:49 h and was eighth at the Olympic Games in Sydney .

A fourth place in the 2001 Chicago Marathon was followed by a second in the Lake Biwa and a fourth in the New York City Marathon in 2002 . In 2005 he was ninth in the Boston Marathon , in 2006 fifth in the Beppu-Ōita Marathon . In 2002 he became French champion in the 10 km road race .

Mohamed Ouaadi is 1.72 m tall and weighs 56 kg. He is trained by Claude Minni and starts for Olympique de Marseille Athlétisme.
