Alyson Dixon
Alyson Dixon (born September 24, 1978 ) is a British marathon runner .
In 2009 she finished sixth in the Bristol Half Marathon and came 45th at the World Half Marathon Championships in Birmingham .
In 2010 she finished 27th in the London Marathon , 29th in the New York City Marathon and eighth in the Great North Run . The following year she was runner-up at the Bath Half Marathon and qualified by winning the Brighton Marathon for the World Athletics Championships in Daegu , where she finished 42nd.
In 2012 she came in 24th place in London.
Alyson Dixon is trained by Liz McColgan and starts for Chester-le-Street & District AC.
