Großstein is the name of a single house in the community of Prägraten am Großvenediger . Großstein belongs to the Sankt Andrä fraction and was inhabited by four people in 1981.

geography

Großstein is the westernmost farm in the Sankt Andrä fraction. It is located around 1.5 kilometers west of the center of Sankt Andrä between the Bichl in the northeast and Hinterbichl in the west. Großstein is located on Virgentalstrasse (L24) north of the nearby Isel .

history

Großstein was not specifically named by Statistics Austria for a long time, but included as part of Sankt Andrä. Only in the course of the 1951 census was the district of Sankt Andrä, consisting of a house with five residents, shown separately. In 1961 three people lived in Großstein, in 1971 there were four. The last time Großstein was reported separately by Statistics Austria was 1981 with four inhabitants.
