Maierhofer (also Marf ) is a courtyard group (scattered houses) in the community of Prägraten am Großvenediger . The district was inhabited by 16 people in 1981 and is part of the Hinterbichl fraction .

geography

A group of farms north of the actual village Hinterbichl in the lowest Hinterbichler Dorfertal is called Maierhofer. The scattered settlement consists of the Pension Haus Gamsblick (Hinterbichl 16a), the Hof Untermarq (Hinterbichl 16) and the Hof Obermarq (Hinterbichl 17). The farm group can be reached via a road from Hinterbichl to the south.

history

Maierhofer was not specifically named by Statistics Austria for a long time, but included in Hinterbichl. Only in the course of the 1951 census was the scattered settlement specially identified. At that time, the part of the village consisted of two houses with 16 residents. In 1961 the statisticians reported three houses with 18 inhabitants for Maierhofer, in 1971 18 people lived in Maierhofer, but only two of the three houses were inhabited. Most recently, 16 residents were expelled from Maierhofer in two out of three inhabited houses in 1981. The scattered settlement was no longer specifically mentioned in the local registers of Statistics Austria.
