Forstlehen (also Forstlechen ) is a group of farms (scattered houses) in the community of Prägraten am Großvenediger . The village was inhabited by 20 people in 1981 and is part of the Hinterbichl fraction .

geography

A group of farms on the northern bank of the Isel between the village of Hinterbichl and the Ströden farm is known as a forest fiefdom . Forstlehen is located on the road between Hinterbichl and Ströden around 500 meters east-south-east of Ströden and around 750 meters south-south-west of the Hinterglanz (Hinterbichl) farm . Forstlehen consists of the farms Unterforstler (Hinterbichl 24) and Oberforstler (Hinterbichl 25).

history

In earlier times, Forstlehen was called Forstlechen, with a "Peter in Vorstlechen" being mentioned as early as 1545. In the 16th century, the farm comprised a Virtelhube and was subject to interest payments to a Melchior Aichberger from Matrei as well as a tenth payment to the pastor in Virgen. The Höfe bin Forstlehen were originally referred to as Ausser-Forstlechner (owned by the Schneider family in the 18th and 19th centuries) and Inner-Forstlechner (owned by the Prandstätter family in the 18th century, then owned by the family in the 19th century Gröfler).

For a long time, Forstlehen was not specifically named by Statistics Austria, but included in Hinterbichl. Only in the course of the 1951 census was Forstlehen specially designated as a separate Forstlechen farm . At that time the district consisted of a house with 10 inhabitants. In 1961 the statisticians for forest loans already identified two houses with 10 inhabitants, whereby the part of the town was now classified as "scattered houses". In 1971 14 people lived in the two houses of Forstlehen, in 1981 there were 20. In the local registers of Statistics Austria, Forstlehen is shown for the last time in 1991, although no more population figures are shown.
