Bedan Karoki Muchiri , also Bitan Karoki Muchiri , (born August 21, 1990 in Nyahururu , Laikipia County ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner . His preferred routes are 10,000 meters (track and road), half marathons , marathons and cross-country runs .

Karoki took part in two Olympic Games and finished 5th in London over 10,000 meters in 2012 and 7th in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 . The IAAF World Half Marathon Championships in 2016 in Welsh Cardiff was Karoki Muchiri runner-up behind compatriot Geoffrey Kipsang and took the team to the world title. In 2015 he was runner-up in cross-country skiing in Guiyang , China .

Over 10,000 meters he reached 6th place at the 2013 World Athletics Championships in Moscow. He finished fourth at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing.

He won the Ra's al-Khaimah half marathon in 2017 and 2018, here with the fifth fastest time ever of 58:42 minutes.

In April 2017, Bedan Karoki Muchiri took 1st place in the current world rankings for road running.
