2015 World Cross Country Championships
The 41st IAAF World Cross Country Championships the IAAF (officially IAAF World Cross Country Championships Guiyang 2015 ) took place on 28. March 2015 in Guiyang held. This was the first time that a city in China and the third time after Fukuoka in 2006 and Amman in 2009 a city in Asia hosted the competitions.
Venue and mode of competition
The races were held on a two-kilometer circuit on the grounds of a horse racing track about 30 kilometers outside of Guiyang. The men had to complete six, the women and the juniors four and the juniors three rounds. The national associations were allowed to nominate eight athletes per competition and have a maximum of six compete.
For the team rankings, the placements of the first four participants in a country were added up. The team with the lowest number of points won. In the event of a tie, the better placement of the fourth team member decided the ranking.
