World Cross Country Championships 1979

The 7th IAAF World Cross Country Championships the IAAF took place on 25. March 1979 at the Green Park Racecourse of Limerick ( Ireland instead).

The men started over a distance of 12 km, the women over 5.04 km and the juniors over 7.36 km.
