World Cross Country Championships 1977
The 5th IAAF World Cross Country Championships the IAAF took place on 20th March 1977 at the Grafenberg race course in Dusseldorf ( Federal Republic of Germany instead).
The men started over a distance of 12.3 km, the women over 5.1 km and the juniors over 7.5 km.
Detlef Uhlemann was the first German athlete to win a medal at cross-country championships with bronze.
