Marijke Moser

Marijke Moser (born Van de Graaf ; born November 13, 1946 ) is a former Swiss medium and long-distance runner of Dutch origin.

Athletic career

At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich , she was eliminated over 1500 m in the preliminary run. In 1973 she was seventh at the World Cross Country Championships in Waregem .

In 1974, she remained in second place in the Marathon of Neuf-Brisach h as first Swiss woman under three hours with 2:59:24.

In 1977 she came in 71st place at the Cross Country World Championships in Düsseldorf . At the Murtenlauf she became the first official winner. She had already participated in secret in 1973, but was withdrawn from the race shortly before the finish because women were not allowed to start. Shortly thereafter, she won the Corrida Bulloise .

The following year she ran 51st at the Cross Country World Championships in Glasgow , became the first Swiss marathon champion in 2:59:38 h and defended her title at the Murtenlauf.

She was Swiss cross-country champion five times (1971–1975), three times over 1500 m (1972–1974), twice over 3000 m (1973, 1974).
In 1978 she became the first official
Swiss champion in the marathon in Schaffhausen in a time of 2:59:38 hours, while her husband also won the men's race.

Marijke Moser was married to the gun and long-distance runner Albrecht Moser . Their daughter Mirja Jenni-Moser (* 1976) is also successful as a long-distance runner.
