Albrecht Moser

Albrecht Moser (born January 28, 1945 ) is a former Swiss arms and long-distance runner .

Athletic career

Albrecht Moser was a Mitrailleur in the Swiss Army . He took part in Swiss arms races from the mid-1970s to the end of the 1980s, and won the Swiss championship eight times in a row from 1978 to 1985. He achieved 56 daily and 83 category victories.

Before that, Moser was an athlete at ST Bern . He was twice Swiss champion in the 10,000 meter run and once each in the 5000 meter run and marathon ( 1978 , Schaffhausen). At the 1972 Summer Olympics , he started in the 10,000 meter run. His best time in this discipline is 28: 46.0 minutes, also achieved in 1972. Since 1976, he has held the (frozen) Swiss record in the 30,000 meter run with a time of 1: 35: 40.8 hours. He still takes part in road and mountain runs today .

Moser was married to the middle and long distance runner Marijke Moser . Their daughter Mirja Jenni-Moser is also successful as a long-distance runner.

Albrecht Moser lives in Pieterlen .
