Renate Kieninger

Renate Kieninger (born April 2, 1954 ) is a former German long-distance runner .

She started three times at the World Cross Country Championships : in 1974 in Monza she came in 56th place, in 1977 in Düsseldorf in 41st and in 1978 in Glasgow in 33rd place. At the German Cross Country Championships she was in the long distance in 1976, 1977, 1978 and 1983 Third and 1984 second.

In 1974 she started the Boston Marathon at the invitation of Ernst van Aaken and finished seventh in 3:08:45 h. At the end of her competitive sports career, she won the premiere of the Vienna Spring Marathon in 1984 .

Renate Kieninger started for TV St. Georgen until 1974 , from 1975 to 1981 for LG Offenburg and then for VfL Sindelfingen .
