Steve Kenyon
Steve Kenyon (actually: Stephen Kenyon ; born September 16, 1951 ) is a former British long-distance runner .
Life
He won a medal four times at the World Cross Country Championships with the English team: 1977 in Düsseldorf with a 29th place silver, 1978 in Glasgow with a 42nd place bronze, 1980 in Paris with a 17th place gold and 1982 in Rome with a 22nd place Place silver.
In 1979 he finished third in the New York City Marathon . In 1981 he won the Egmond Half Marathon , finished sixth in the February edition of the Tokyo International Men's Marathon and won the night of Borgholzhausen and the Manchester Marathon. In 1982 he became English marathon champion, but did not reach the finish line in the marathon of the European Athletics Championships in Athens .
In 1985 he triumphed at the Great North Run . The following year he was third in this race.
