Paula Fudge

Paula Fudge (born Yeoman ; born March 30, 1952 ) is a former British long-distance runner .

Life

In 1978 she won for England starting over 3000 m at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton . At the European Athletics Championships in Prague , she was eighth over the same distance.

At the 1979 World Cross Country Championships in Limerick, she came in 17th place and won bronze with the English team. 1981 followed a 28th place at the Cross Country World Championships in Madrid . On September 13th of the same year she set a world record over 5000 m with 15: 14.5 minutes .

In 1982 she won bronze over 3000 m at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Milan and took bronze with the English team again with a 14th place at the World Cross Country Championships in Rome . In autumn she won the 20 km from Paris .

In 1985 she finished 56th at the Cross Country World Championships in Lisbon and won the Columbus Marathon . After a fifth place in the London Marathon in 1986, she qualified in 1987 with a fourth place in London for the marathon of the World Athletics Championships in Rome , in which she ran in 17th place. Shortly afterwards she won the Greifensee race .

In 1988 she was third at the Great North Run and the Chicago Marathon .

In 1972 she was English champion over 3000 m, 1983 over 5000 m and 1978 and 1982 British champion over 3000 m.
