Moses Ndiema Masai (born June 1, 1986 in Kapsogom, Mount Elgon District ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner .

In 2004 he became the national youth champion in the 10,000 meter run . In 2005 he finished seventh in the junior races of the World Cross Country Championships in Saint-Galmier and African junior champion over 5000 m and 10,000 m. In 2006 and 2007 he won the São Silvestre da Amadora .

In 2008 he finished fifth at the Cross Country World Championships in Edinburgh , won the Parelloop over 10 km, ran the 5000 m in 12: 50.55 min at the ISTAF and qualified for the 10,000 meter run at the Olympic Games in Beijing , where he finished fourth.

At the World Athletics Championships in Berlin in 2009 , he won the bronze medal over 10,000 m. In the further course of the season, victories at Dam tot Damloop and at San Silvestre Vallecana followed .

In 2010 he set a course record at the World's Best 10K with 27:19 minutes and came second in the Dam tot Damloop. In 2012 he qualified with a second place over 10,000 m at the Prefontaine Classic for the Olympic Games in London , where he came twelfth.

In 2013 he finished 17th at the Dubai Marathon and gave up at the Frankfurt Marathon . In 2014 he finished fifth in the Düsseldorf Marathon .

The 1.72 meter tall athlete is employed by the Kenyan police, for which he competes on a national level. In the national team he is trained by Julius Kirwa. The son of the former runner John Barasa Masai lives in Iten with his wife Doris Chepkwemoi Changeywo and his sister Linet Chepkwemoi Masai , the 2009 10,000 meter world champion .
