Stephen Kiprop

Stephen Kiprop (born September 8, 1999 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner . At the age of 19, he ran the half marathon in 58:42 minutes, which was the fifth-best time ever on this route at the time.

Kiprop has been competing in international road races since 2018. This year, in addition to the 15 kilometers from Le Puy-en-Velay in 42:16 min, he also won the half marathons in Venlo (59:44 min), Olomouc (1:00:15 h) and Ústí nad Labem (59:41 min). At the end of October he was fourth in the Valencia half marathon , in which Abraham Kiptum set a world record that was later revoked for doping, in 59:21 minutes. In February of the following year he set Bedan Karoki's course record in 58:42 minutes at the RAK half marathon and at that time, minus Kiptum's time lost later, was fifth on the all-time world best list . Two months later, he came third in the Prague half marathon in 59:20 minutes, and in September in 1:02:32 hours in the Great Scottish Run .
