The African Games ( English African Games , French Jeux africains ), until 2012 also called Pan African Games (English Pan African Games or All-Africa Games , French Jeux de toute l'Afrique or Jeux panafricains ), are the sports games of the African continent . They are organized by the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) and are usually held every four years.

The first games took place in 1965 in Brazzaville , Republic of the Congo , which also hosted the 50th anniversary in 2015. The last games so far took place in Rabat in Morocco in 2019 . For the first time since 1999, no disabled athletes took part in the games. With the African Para Games 2020 you will receive your own games for the first time. The next Africa Games are scheduled to take place in Ghana in 2023 .
