It runs in a south-westerly direction and reaches the water step on Rath-Forsbacher Weg. At this point the three cities of Cologne , Bergisch Gladbach and Rösrath meet. The brook then crosses under Rösrather Straße and federal motorway 3 . In the Wahner Heide it flows south of the pioneer training pool 3 and crosses under the Bensberger Straße and the Heumarer Mauspfad. On the grounds of Röttens Castle in Rath / Heumar , it divides into a main and a side arm, both of which seep into ponds.
