The Gigamot GmbH was founded in 2005 as Gigamot AG and is in Hemsbach resident vehicle tuners for car brands MINI and BMW .

Gigamot became known in the MINI Challenge as "Gigamot Racing". The racing team is still considered the most successful team in the history of this one-make cup . With the MINI R56 Challenge, the team reached the team championship four times, the driver’s championship three times and the runner-up championship three times.

In 2019, after a merger with the parent company FIS GmbH, the AG was converted into a limited liability company. (Gigamot GmbH)

Brands and products

The range includes individual tuning parts such as chassis , sports exhaust systems, interior fittings or light alloy rims as well as complete vehicles for motorsport applications as well as performance enhancements for gasoline and diesel engines. Together with DuelL AG from Nagoya in Japan, Gigamot is developing various vehicle parts for the Asian region, branded with the Gigamot logo. Gigamot is the importer of DuelL AG products in Europe and NM-Engeneering / USA products for Germany.

history

In 2005 Thomas Fürst founded Gigamot AG in Hemsbach. In the same year, the decision was made to take part in the MINI Challenge Germany with a MINI R53 . In 2006 Gigamot took part in the MINI Challenge for the first time, still part of the KUG team, Kurt Profitus. In 2007 Gigamot took over the team and renamed it "Gigamot Racing". In 2008, with the new MINI R56, the team achieved the team championship for the first time. 2009–2011 were Gigamot Racing's most successful years. All team, driver and runner-up championships went to Team Gigamot Racing. In the same year the company moved into the new workshop in Hemsbach, which is still the company's headquarters today. From 2011, the focus was on MINI and BMW tuning and racing vehicles. In 2012, after the MINI Challenge one-make cup, Gigamot Racing started in the MINI Trophy. Here, too, the team championship was won. In 2013 there were guest starts in the MINI Trophy and the main business was shifted to MINI and BMW Tuning. In 2014, the first MINI F56 delivered to a customer was modified by Gigamot and circled the world. “MINI goes all around” In 2015, Gigamot was represented at various trade fairs with its own project vehicles. Together with Remus, Gigamot presented a MINI F56 S with over 300 hp at the Essen motor show. In 2016, Gigamot took part in the MINI takes the States (MTTS 2016).
