Christian 'Gigi' Rüf (born October 9, 1981 in Au (Vorarlberg) ) is an Austrian snowboarder.

Career

Gigi Rüf's snowboard career began in the USA in 1999. His team manager and photographer persuaded the then 18-year-old to stay to film after a contest. With his first video part in the film Destroy he returned to Austria. More video parts followed and loads of photos in and on magazines. In the fall of 2008, he moved from main sponsor Burton Snowboards to Volcom . In the same year, the man from Vorarlberg came third in the US “Snowboarder Magazine Rider of the Year 08” election.
