Giglio Campese is a district of the municipality Isola del Giglio on the island of Giglio in the province of Grosseto , Tuscany region in Italy .

geography

The place is 47.4 km southwest of the provincial capital Grosseto and 159 km southwest of the regional capital Florence on the northwestern edge of the island. The place is 3  meters above sea level and has about 187 inhabitants.

Torre del Campese

• Torre del Campese , watchtower built at the request of Cosimo I de 'Medici at the end of the 16th century and attributed to the architect Alessandro Pieroni . The current roof structure seems to have been made before 1749.
